Welcome to the New Jersey Conference of Mayors Business Council website! We are extremely excited that the response from New Jersey businesses has been so overwhelming. As you are aware, politics and the government in New Jersey are changing and changing radically. Combine this with a depressed economy, ethics reform, COAH and environmental issues, a crisis in the State budget and property taxes that are out of control and you have a very volatile situation for both businesses and municipalities.
Now more than ever, businesses and corporations of all sizes are searching for a voice in Trenton. But many traditional lobbying methodologies may no longer be viable or effective given today’s climate.
The NJCM Business Council represents the only state organization of its kind through the establishment of a common platform whereby business and local government can seek common grounds and develop solutions to the challenges that face both the public and private sectors throughout the state. The NJCM is the perfect statewide organization to facilitate such a blending of experience, talent and knowledge. In doing so, we represent a united voice in Trenton that will have the ability to effectuate a positive change in the laws as they relate to both business and municipal operations.
